Rationale

The campaign is built around the insight that the target audience purchases takeaway coffee regularly and that it forms part of their everyday routine. The campaign creatively uses familiar café language and connects it to the key product benefit of KeepCup being reusable. The idea is based on baristas repeatedly asking familiar questions, while the customer responds in a way that highlights reuse.

“Take Away. Bring Back.” plays on the association between takeaway coffee and single-use cups. The response “Bring Back” changes the expected meaning by showing that the cup can be taken away, reused and returned for another coffee the next day. “Back Again? / We Both Are.” reinforces the idea that both the customer and the KeepCup return as part of the same routine. “Another Coffee. Not Another Cup.” shows that while buying another coffee is repeated, using another disposable cup does not have to be.

The executions are structured to resemble a social-media reply or comment interaction, making the conversation feel familiar and relevant to a Gen Z audience. The casual, conversational language also reflects the way this audience communicates online. KeepCup’s established colour palette, typography and branding are carried consistently across all three advertisements, creating a cohesive campaign. Together, the copywriting turns repetitive café language into a creative reminder to “Make Reuse Your Usual.”
